Thanks for this MORLS! Like you I’d never heard of this program and came away impressed after listening. Tim congratulations on completing the episode alphabet. I’m not familiar with the OTR list Joshua mentioned but even wikipedia has a long OTR program list that I’ll draw from one day. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_old-time_radio_programs

He did not shoot the cow! He brought a truck. His buddy shot the rancher and he was an accessory. I’ll stop yelling at your podcast now.

David Thiel

OMG, you guys. The line was “Every night we’d back up the truck and SHOO two, three cows.” In other words, herd them onto the truck. 🤦🏻‍♂️

David Thiel

Okay, I should’ve waited until I heard the post-credits gag before commenting. I’m glad you all eventually realized that he wasn’t shooting cattle.

Chris Teel

Okay, it wasn’t “shoot” two or three cows, it was “shoo” tow or three cows into the van. Shooting cows in a van would be easier than fish in a barrel, but the aftermath would be horrific and lots of work, not to mention rustlers tended to be on the stealthy side. Also, not a big market for that much raw beef in the middle of the night. I hope this helps.

This was thoroughly entertaining from start to finish, and thought provoking. I’m so glad to discover this series!
