You mentioned that DeForest Kelley was appearing in the movie “Gunfight at the OK Corral” about the time this episode aired. Kelley actually had quite a connection as an actor to that famous gunfight. In 1955, he played Ike Clanton in the CBS tv show “You Are There,” which featured the gunfight. Then, in 1957, he was in the movie you mentioned–this time playing Morgan Earp. So on his second appearance at the OK Corral, he switched sides. But he wasn’t done yet. I’m with Eric- I don’t want to know much about a story before I take it in; especially vintage radio programs and movies. Knowing just enough to determine if I’m interested is enough. That way I’m taking as few as possible preconceptions in with me as possible and which allows me enjoy the stories better.
