Listener Jamie recommended this week’s episode, “Weekend Vacation” from The Darkness! Thanks, Jamie! A vacationing family winds up in a strange old motel operated by an elderly woman and her child-like brute of a grandson. What dark fate awaits the guests on their vacation? Is this story as simple as it seems? Has our hearing really gotten that bad? I SAID HAS OUR HEARING REALLY GOTTEN THAT BAD? Listen for yourself and find out! Then vote and let us know what you think!
I heartily recommend Roger Rittner’s Adventures of Doc Savage. That was one of the first programs to inspire my interest in radio drama.

After replaying several times, I was able to figure out what Claude says at the end:
“A word of caution to the men in our audience: her name is Ivy Primave. And they might be just her type. Oh – that’s spelled P-R-I-M-A-V-E. Unscramble it: You might be surprised.”
When I was looking for information, I saw the Doc Savage adaptations received a lot of praise. We’ll check those out for sure! And thank you for clearing up Clause’s last bit there. Is there a rule stating that if you have a dark secret, you must change your name to an anagram of that secret? You know, just to play fair.
I was with Eric here – as I was thinking, “I honestly don’t know what happened at the end,” Eric asked that question “What happened?” This itself was kind of creepy.
