The Shadow People have emerged from the Hall of Fantasy and the Society has a lot to say about it! In this chilling tale, a woman and her family are terrorized by strange beings that live side by side with humanity, watching and waiting from the darkness. Does she have any hope of survival? Will you recognize the reference to the Horla? Does the show retain shadow cred or has it gone to the dead place? Listen for yourself and find out! Then vote and let us know what you think:
Xenophobia.
Thanks for the assist, and xenophobia is close. It’s like a really close cousin of the word I was trying (and still am) trying to remember. It’s more a reaction to something’s “wrongness” rather than it’s “foreign-ness.” Like a spider with human eyes. I only heard the word once (talking about something Lovecraftian, no doubt) and I loved it, but apparently not enough to memorize it.
Very glad I listened to this in the daylight or I probably wouldn’t sleep tonight. Up there with “Poltergeist” as the scariest shows you’ve featured so far. In my opinion, anyway.
It’s pretty dang effective! Thanks so much for listening and for the comments!
